But they taught them that they should keep their record, and that they might write one to another.

December 1st

Winter came down to our home one night
Quietly pirouetting in on silvery-toed slippers of snow,
And we, we were children once again.
~Bill Morgan, Jr

When was the last time you played in the snow? Not just walked in the snow, but actually played?

Write about it.

When baking, follow directions.
When cooking, go by your own taste.

I know that Thanksgiving is so much more than the food...however, this post is about FOOD. You really should post something about Thanksgiving. But, just for fun...lets' post our favorite Thanksgiving dish.

September 15th

I like to see a man proud of the place in which he lives.
I like to see a man live so that his place will be proud of him.
~Abraham Lincoln

What are your thoughts this year about this event?

I know my memories of this day will never leave my mind...but the older I get the more I see my heart changes.
It's like I am softer to this.
I was scared and angry before.
Now, I feel saddened.
I am sad for the families, I am sad for the country, I am sad for what's happening in NYC right now with the fighting over the mosque plans.

BUT...I am proud of what we have become.
I am proud of what my children have learned.
I am proud of the fact that we are better because of it.

What about you?
Write it down. Let your children and their children know where you were, how you felt and what you have learned since.

Delicious autumn!
My very soul is wedded to it,
and if I were a bird I would fly about the
earth seeking the successive autumns.
 ~George Eliot

Tis the month that Autumn starts. I know that most places around Arizona are still smoldering in the 95+ degree weather....but maybe we can all will in Fall with a few thoughts or comments of MY favorite time of the year.

Let's hear it.....
What do you love about September?

could it be:
NFL starts? (that's my husbands)
soccer season starts? (that's my kids)
august is over?
leaves start to turn?
Halloween decorations start to appear in the stores?

What is it?
